Mr. Apostolos Karampinis at the Brainstorm Health Summit 2026:
Innovation only creates value when it reaches the patient at the right time.
KARABINIS MEDICAL S.A. was at the forefront of discussions shaping the future of Healthcare, participating in the Brainstorm Health Summit 2026, held on Wednesday, March 18, at the Grande Bretagne Hotel.
Within the framework of the conference, centered on the theme “Longevity, Data, and the New Economics of Care”, a meaningful dialogue emerged on how longevity, data, and entrepreneurship are shaping a new, resilient healthcare ecosystem.
Mr. Apostolos Karampinis, President & CEO of KARABINIS MEDICAL S.A., participated as a speaker in the panel titled “From Production to Patient Access: How Technology Strengthens the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain”, alongside leading representatives of the government and the industry, including Deputy Minister of Health Mr. Marios Themistokleous, Secretary General for Strategic Planning of the Ministry of Health Dr. Aris Angelis, Dr. Ioannis Kalaitzis, and Mr. Andreas Petropoulos, under the moderation of Mr. Pavlos Efthymiou.
During his intervention, Mr. Karampinis highlighted the critical role of the supply chain as a fundamental prerequisite for delivering real value through healthcare innovation, stating:
“The healthcare supply chain is not a theory—it is the logistics of life. Innovation only creates value when it reaches the patient at the right time.”
He emphasized that Healthcare is not limited to research and development, but constitutes an integrated system encompassing production, regulatory frameworks, logistics, and distribution. Ensuring the seamless operation of all these interconnected components is essential for patient access to therapies and innovative solutions, ultimately contributing to improved quality of life both in the short and long term.
Particular emphasis was placed on the transformation of the supply chain through technology, focusing on:
- enhancing transparency and safety through digital traceability, serialization, and track & trace processes,
- compliance with modern regulatory standards (MDR), ensuring high levels of quality,
- leveraging predictive analytics to optimize demand, inventory, and prevent shortages,
- developing international production networks that integrate markets and strengthen system resilience.
At the same time, the role of data and artificial intelligence in shaping a data-driven healthcare model was highlighted, with digital platforms and services covering the entire value chain up to the patient.
A central message of his intervention was the concept of access as the ultimate and non-negotiable goal of the healthcare system:
“There is one ultimate goal: to ensure that the right treatment reaches the right patient at the right time.”
Mr. Karampinis also stressed that Greece has the potential to play a meaningful role in this evolving landscape through systematic collaboration between businesses, the scientific community, and the state, contributing to the development of a strong and sustainable healthcare ecosystem.
The participation of KARABINIS MEDICAL S.A. in the Brainstorm Health Summit 2026 reaffirms the company’s commitment to investing in innovative practices, technology, and international partnerships, strengthening patient access to high-quality and effective healthcare solutions.
