From now on, Mr. Manthopoulos will have full responsibility of the commercial processes in all health areas the company operates. Mr. Manthopoulos has an important and extensive experience in the health sector. Having already a successful professional and long career in the company, he is responsible for the strategic development of all products and health services. Mr. Manthopoulos stated: “For me it is a great honor and at the same time a great responsibility the general inauguration of the company’s Commercial Management. Mr. Stefanos Tsitsimpis who holds MSc with specialization in Finance began his career in KARABINIS MEDICAL in October 2009 in the Financial Department and in September 2011 was appointed Chief Financial Officer, as responsible for ensuring the proper planning and control process, participating actively as well in shaping the strategic plan of the company.

Athens, January 16, 2015. KARABINIS MEDICAL presented during a Press Conference, the Alfacheck Antimicrobial AT400, the first thermometer with antimicrobial copper worldwide. Through its technological application, patented worldwide by KARABINIS MEDICAL, the Alfacheck antimicrobial thermometer helps to create safe conditions for medical thermometry, not only to families but to the entire “healthcare chain” (doctors – nurses – patients).
The Press Conference was attended and greeted by the Minister of Health, Mr Makis Voridis, who received 2,000 antimicrobial thermometers from KARABINIS MEDICAL as a donation to the remote health centers of our country. The presentation was also saluted by Mr Dimitris Triantafillidis, President of the Pan- Hellenic Pharmacists Cooperative, and Mr Stavros Belonis, President of the Federation of Cooperatives Pharmacists in Greece, who both emphasized the importance to promote value added products through the Greek pharmacies.
The company’s President and CEO, Apostolos Karabinis noted: “The occasion occurred when the Hellenic Copper Development Institute invited me personally to the think tank they organized in order to explore the applications of antimicrobial copper in health products. I came up with the idea to create an antimicrobial thermometer that would limit the spread of pathogenic microbes, and thus contribute to health preservation. The conversion of my initial concept into an actual health product was based on scientific research, experiments and clinical studies. The implementation path was not easy. It took much effort, faith, perseverance and a huge investment. But now, the first antimicrobial thermometer is available in the global market.“
Other lecturers besides Mr Apostolos Karabinis were Mr Nikos Vergopoulos, General Manager of the Hellenic Copper Development Institute, and Dr Panos Efstathiou, Director of the Hellenic Copper Development Institute Scientific Team.

The Committee of “Ermonikia Races” had chosen the day of the symbolic celebration of summer solstice and the calendar entry to Mercury holy month, according to the ancient Greeks timeline, to officially announce the celebration date of this year “Ermonikia Races”, in October 12, 2014.
Following the spirit and standards of the ancient Greek Games, the major sporting event of this year is the second Ermonikios Race of 20km, along with other smaller contests and cultural events. The “Ermonikia Races” is a two-day celebration that includes sports and cultural happenings.

It will begin from the city of Piraeus, June 25, will continue to the city of Salamina, July 5, and will be completed in Aegina Island, July 12. The campaign includes informative material and speeches, while giving the opportunity to the public for free measurements.
