Mr. Apostolos Karabinis, President & CEO of Karabinis Medical S.A., participated in the roundtable on “Rewarding Companies with Active CSR Initiatives,” where he presented the company’s innovative Corporate Social Responsibility actions.
At the center of his presentation was the program “Caring for the Environment Is in Our DNA”, implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, which includes:
- Returning 1% of the revenue from Science of Nature dietary supplements to clean up polluted areas
- Installing recycling bins in pharmacies for all dietary supplements, regardless of the brand
- A reward program for citizens who actively participate in recycling
Mr. Karabinis also highlighted the role of socially responsible commercial policies, citing as an example the pandemic period when:
- Karabinis Medical addressed the shortage of masks in the Greek market, ensuring affordable prices
- Donated vaccination needles through the General Secretariat for Civil Protection, supporting the start of the country’s vaccination campaign
